The company was established in May, 2014, by M. Defontaine and H. Lebertre. RheaWave is an innovative start-up, specialized in acoustic metrology, and got the status of a Young University Company.
Based on a patented technology, the company designs and produces acoustic solutions for product characterisations: texture, viscoelasticity, micro-defects. RheaWave set up inline, non-destructive and contactless, alternative rheology solutions.
Located in the Loire Valley within the François-Rabelais University, RheaWave evolves in a state-of-the-art scientific and technical environment and benefits from a network of institutional and industrial partners which is favorable to its development.
Laureate of the “i-Lab” national contest (June, 2014), in the "creation and development" category, RheaWave was also distinguished by one of the five distinctions of the jury.
Moreover, RheaWave was laureate of the “Réseau Entreprendre Val de Loire” partnership in April, 2015.
